Artist Naomi Weston
I describe myself as a self taught artist and feel that the learning process is never over. Since
childhood I have loved animals and started drawing at a young age. Born in 1947 I grew up on a ranch in Lassen Co. California. I started painting in High School and when I left high school my art teacher gave me a set of oil paints and told me all he wanted is to see my works of art. .
I take my camera along with me so I can take pictures of interesting subjects to use in my paintings. I try to capture the realism of the many subjects I paint. I have won many Awards, at fairs, judged show and contests, my paintings have been purchased by art collectors across the United States. At a art show in the spring of 1991 I won First Place an Poplar vote of the public. In 1994 I won Best of Show at the Nevada Farm Bureau 75th Anniversary Art Contest. The local chapters of the Mule deer and Elk foundations have also request my work.
I do my painting in the winter when the weather is bad, the rest of the year I'm busy with the horses and yard. So I hope you like what you see, of my work. Inquires welcome
